Marrakech → Imlil Valley → High Atlas Village Walk
Drive south into the High Atlas. Meet your local mountain guide in Imlil and embark on a gentle 3-hour walk through walnut groves, terraced irrigation channels, and stone Berber hamlets. Savor a home-cooked tagine lunch prepared by a local mountain family.
High Atlas → Telouet Kasbah → Aït Benhaddou → Ouarzazate
Traverse the historic Ounila Valley, flanked by striking red cliffs and ruined fortress towers. Tour the intricate painted cedar ceilings of the Kasbah of Telouet and explore the fortress alleys of Aït Benhaddou.
Skoura Oasis → Todra Gorges → Merzouga Desert
Morning wander through the shaded palm groves of Skoura. Travel along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the sheer limestone walls of Todra Gorge. Arrive in Merzouga and mount camels into the golden sunset.
Full Day in Merzouga: Nomad Encounters & Gnawa Music
Dedicate a full day to the Sahara. Visit nomadic families living in traditional wool tents on the black desert plain, listen to hypnotic Gnawa desert rhythms in the village of Khamlia, and try sandboarding down the monumental dunes.
Merzouga → Draa Valley → Marrakech
Return toward the imperial city through the dramatic Draa Valley date palm canyon and across the Tizi n’Tichka pass, reaching your Marrakech riad by early evening.
